The Council of Ministers of Wednesday, 7 October 2026 appointed Darius Soren Dadé as Director of National Selections at the Ministry of Sports and Civic Engagement. A new responsibility that extends a journey marked by journalism, communication, audiovisual and its attachment to sport.

A new responsibility

Darius Soren Dadé now takes over the National Selections Directorate. In this position, he will be called upon to accompany the management and coordination of the various selections representing Benin on the international stage.

This appointment marks a new stage in the career of a professional who is particularly familiar with the sports and media world in Benin.

A career between media and youth

Before joining this new function, Darius Dadé built a solid experience in the communications and audiovisual sector.

In particular, he served as Acting Director General of the SRTB. He also led the Multimedia Centre for Adolescents and Youth in Benin, including the supervision of Ado TV and Ado FM.

These different experiences allowed him to develop skills in management, team management and communication, while remaining close to youth-related issues.

From sports journalism to administration

Darius Dadé also marked Benin's audiovisual landscape as a journalist, presenter and sports commentator. His debut at Canal 3 Benin allowed him to make himself known to the public thanks to his coverage of several sporting events.

His knowledge of the field and his experience in the treatment of sports news are today important elements in his new mission.

With this appointment, Darius Dadé is moving from commentary and communication to a role more focused on managing national selections. A new responsibility in which his experience of media and sport can be extended.
