The Beninese government is continuing the reorganization of the sports administration. Ahmed Taofik is one of the personalities appointed to new responsibilities within the Ministry of Sports and Civic Engagement. He became Technical Advisor to Inclusion, Gender and Para-sports.

A new responsibility for Ahmed Taofik

Ahmed Taofik is now called upon to play a role in the Beninese sports administration. He held the post ofTechnical Adviser to Inclusion, Gender and Para-sports, a function that addresses several issues related to access to sport and the participation of different audiences.

This appointment is part of the new decisions taken by the Government at the Council of Ministers on Wednesday, 7 October 2026.

A profile already committed to sport and inclusion

Ahmed Taofik is not an unknown in the sports world of Benin. A former basketball player, he has also invested in initiatives using sport as a tool to develop and support young people.

In particular, it is associated withChildren of Benin Deboutan organization that builds on sport and educational activities to contribute to the development of children and young people. His journey thus led to work on issues related to education, sport and inclusion.

In 2025, Ahmed Taofik also represented the Ministry of Sports at a ceremony dedicated to disabled people in Cotonou. He also welcomed the involvement of persons with disabilities in the cycling tour of Benin.

Inclusion at the heart of his new mission

Through his new functions, Ahmed Taofik will have a portfolio that combinesinclusion, gender and para-sports. Its mission is to better take into account the various components of the sport movement and to promote a more accessible sport practice.

This appointment is thus a new step in the journey of an actor whose sporting experience and commitment to inclusion are now being extended within the public administration.
